Despite being born and raised in the bustling city of Mumbai, Shashank Shah’s spirit found its true calling amidst the serene mountains. It was during an unforgettable journey to Bedni Bugyal in Uttarakhand, India, in May 2009 that Shashank’s passion for conquering peaks and capturing breathtaking moments through his lens was truly awakened.
Capturing Moments in the Himalayas
Upon arriving at the base camp of the trek at Mundoli, Shashank found himself completely mesmerized by the awe-inspiring beauty of the Himalayan landscapes. Equipped with nothing but his trusty Nokia camera phone and an unquenchable thirst to immortalize the stunning views, he dove headfirst into a photography frenzy, snapping away at every picturesque scene that unfolded before him.
Fuelling the Passion
On a momentous morning, Shashank found himself in possession of a spare point-and-shoot camera lent by a fellow trekker, Niren Shah. As the sun rose over the majestic mountains, Shashank was captivated by the breathtaking sight before him. Little did he know that this experience would spark a deep passion within him for mountain photography & climbing.
Since that unforgettable day, Shashank’s love for capturing the beauty of the mountains through his lens has only grown stronger. His annual journeys to the Himalayas and other places have become a ritual, a way for him to connect with nature and express his creativity. Each expedition/trip presents new challenges & opportunities for Shashank to hone his skills and expand his portfolio.
The combination of photography & climbing has become a defining aspect of Shashank’s life, shaping his identity and providing him with a sense of purpose.

Shashank sets off on his exciting escapades with his trusty DSLR kit slung over his shoulder and his mobile phone securely fastened to a selfie stick. Shashank decided to level up his photography game by seeking out valuable resources on YouTube. There, he stumbled upon a treasure trove of knowledge and inspiration from renowned educators like Unmesh Dinda of PiXimperfect, who have had the strongest & deepest impact on his entire photo editing journey; making him self-sufficient enough to reach to the desired output he has envisioned at the start of photo editing. Others include Photoshop Training Channel, Peter McKinnon, Pixivu and so on. These experts became his virtual mentors, guiding him through the intricacies of photo editing and helping him unleash his creative potential.

Driven by his burning passion to showcase his creativity to a wider audience, Shashank embarked on the journey to create “Freezed Frames – Digital Arts & Photography“. This innovative platform acts as a portal to his extensive array of “Freezed Frames“, with each piece narrating a distinct tale and encapsulating the spirit of his escapades.
